It is not uncommon to see a  green plaid skirt strolling the streets of the Upper East Side in search of a good mid-morning study break snack. At the corner of 75th and Madison, your taste buds are tingling. The choices are unlimited for snacks and drinks. Here are just a few places where Hewitt girls love to munch!

3 Guys Restaurant:

Located on 75th and Madison, only steps away from school, this diner is a Hewitt Hawk go to. From delicious iced coffees to muffins, soups, salads, and more, if you are hungry you can’t go wrong here! You can’t beat this place for convenience, friendly service, and proximity to Hewitt. Look from booth and booth and you’re bound to find classmates.

Joe Coffee:

 Waking up in the morning is tough, but a stop at Joe’s for coffee or hot chocolate makes getting to school a little more bearable. Located on 74th and Lexington, it is the easiest and convenient coffee shop around.  You will always see friends stopping for a beverage during free periods, before and after school.  The large communal table is the perfect spot to open your laptop and get some work done.  Warm drinks make the winter cozy and when the weather gets warm, you can never go wrong with a refreshing iced tea. Remember to get your card punched for a free drink!

Zitomers:

Zitomers might be known for being a drug store,  but to Hewitt Girls, it is the home to the best snacks around! On 76th and Madison is where you can find the best selection of cookies, chips, drinks, etc.  Zitomers is always the right choice for a quick stop in for a snack between classes. There are endless choices, you find you are back here every hour for a new tasty treat!

Eric Kayser:

When you enter this warm and cozy cafe, you feel as if you are right in Paris, but really you are on 74th and 3rd! Hewitt girls love the bakery in the front where you can enjoy croissants, eclairs, coffee, and many more delicious pastries. If you have time to take a rest from hectic classes, you can sit in the restaurant and savor of a cup of french onion soup, their specialty. It might be a little bit of a walk, but it is sure worth it!

Butterfield Market:

Find a Hewitt girl strolling through the aisles of this buzzing market picking out lunch for the day. Butterfields is a delicious market that has everything from sushi, fresh fruits, sandwiches,  salads, etc. They also have a easy stop and go frozen yogurt counter, a Hewitt student hot spot.  If it is a nice day you can enjoy your lunch on the benches outside with friends. This great place can be found on Lexington and 77th street.

Farinella Bakery:

If you are craving a unique slice of pizza, bring a friend over to this delicious pizza spot. On 78th and Lexington is where you can find the most interesting pizza choices around such as prosciutto, mushroom, and even their famous chocolate pizza! Hewitt girls love to either take in or eat out. Its friendly atmosphere makes it Hewitt #1 pizza place. Don’t forget to also munch down their classic Margherita!
