We sat down to interview Dr. Dickman, also known as Mr. D, who has been teaching math (and sometimes being an advisor!) for 8 years. Let’s interview Mr. D with 37 questions. 37 (or 3.7) Questions is a new column made by Hewitt Times writers.

    1. No, but I’ve experienced both Hunger and Games. I would not go to Budapest to play games.
  24. Would you go to District 1 in the Hunger Games?
    1. No. I had relatives that lived in the districts in South Africa.
  25. Did your family own a bakery in South Africas?
    1. Yes, it was called the Dickman Bakery. But it doesn’t exist anymore.
  26. How many colors can you buy?
    1. As crayons? As markers? Taupe, Vermillion, Chartreuse, Smaradge, anything in the periwinkle lilac family, I think that Indigo is an afterthought to make the ROYGBIV acronym easier. There is baby blue, there is sky blue, there is Prussian blue. One of the things about Magenta I would rally for is that it is an anagram for nametag and magnate and gateman.

  28. If a name tag doesn’t have a name on it, is it still a name tag?
    1. Yes.

    1. Never seen it. But I know it has the same letters as mathlion.

    1. I like the first ‘t’ in the word Hewitt.

    1. The blue. I was honestly disappointed that you didn’t put more than one.

    1. Um. I just don’t want to be interviewed. And I really feel like there is anything that involves faculty in this school, there are so many great people to spotlight. Next time, go through the directory and pick anyone that doesn’t start with “me” or the letter “s.”
