Apple’s usual iPhone-releasing increment of 6 months has passed, so it’s no wonder that speculation about the iPhone 6 is to be heard everywhere. Apple’s loyal customers are eager to know what their next phone will be like, and rumors are piling up. Here are some of the speculations regarding Apple’s soon-to-be newest addition:

Keep in mind that all of these facts come from rumored predictions. Nothing is guaranteed, though some of it is very likely to be executed.

Thanks to the French website Nowhereelse.fr, we have access to these rumored photos of the new gadget along with other leaks about dimensions and other features. According to an article published on the site last month, there has been a mold leaked of the new phone size from Foxconn, Apple’s manufacturing parter in Taiwan.

The iPhone 6 will reportedly be released in two sizes: one with a 4.7 inch screen and another with a 5.5 inch screen. (For reference, the iPhone 5 has a 4 inch screen). The new iPhone is predicted to be a mere 6mm thick. This would be 1.6mm thinner than the current iPhone 5S, making it one of the thinnest smartphones on the market and worthy nickname the “iPhone Air.”

The iPhone 6 will also be more efficient in terms of memory and storage. While the iPhone 5S uses a 1.3 GHz dual-core A7 chipset with 64 bit processor, the iPhone 6 will be powered by a A8 chipset with 64 bit processor. This means that your new iPhone will run even faster than it already does and will be energy efficient.

The new phone will also have an improved RAM (random access memory), bumping it up from one GB to three, so you can store and use more data. The current iPhone is also running on iOS 7, and it is predicted that iOS 8 will be made for its successor.

The iPhone 6 may also have new features for the frequent camera users and ethusiastic Instagram-ers, including aperture, image stabilization and software updates, though the megapixel size of 10 will still remain around the same.

If you are an avid iPhone user and need your phone wherever you go, cross your fingers that the iPhone 6 battery life will be improved. There have been many complaints about the iPhone battery, and there are fears that because the new iPhone will be very thin, there won’t be much room for battery improvement. The iPhone 5S has a 1,560mAh battery, which is expected to give up to 10 hours of charge for regular usage, and hopefully the new iPhone will not be much different due to its reported size.

For those of you hoping that Apple will come to their senses and release a cheaper device, you may have to wait for the next round of iPhones. The current 5S is priced at $199 for the 16GB and $299 and $399 for the 32GB and 64GB respectively. The iPhone 6 is expected to be priced $100 more in each GB option.
