Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has just been brought into the spotlight by none other than America’s it-girl, Taylor Swift. Kelce is considered one of the greatest tight ends of all time and won the superbowl last year, but none of that compares to Taylor’s band of Swifties that follow and watch her every move. After months of speculation from Taylor’s fanbase, she was spotted at a Chiefs game.
And to make things even better, Taylor was wearing a red and white outfit while sitting in Kelce’s personal box next to his mom. During this game, nearly every time Kelce touched the ball, the camera panned to Swift enthusiastically cheering him on. While neither Taylor nor Travis have commented on the nature of their relationship, both fan bases suspect that the two are dating.
Since Taylor was spotted at this game, Kelce’s fame has reached a new level. A spokesperson for fanatics, a sports apparel store, said that sales of Kelce’s jersey went up 400 percent as of Monday September 25, just one day after the game. Additionally, at the following game, when Swift’s attendance was expected, ticket prices jumped at least 43 percent.
Since the game, they have appeared in the same episode of SNL and have also been seen many times out together.
