You may know Cali B.‘19 as our student council president or from her participating roles in the school play. She is the eldest sister of 3 younger hewitt girls, Cici B.’21,
Caroline B.’22 and Charlotte B. ‘25. In this article get to know more about this months talented senior.

1. How long have you been at Hewitt?
I started in the 7th grade.

2. What are some hobbies you have outside of school?
I do all of the schools plays and musicals. They are a great time to hang out with girls who are not in your grade and just to have a great time in general. I love painting and sketching in my spare time. When I have the chance I like to do crafty projects and even dabble in pottery a bit. I use running and exercise as a method of de-stressing so I try and go for runs in the park when I have time.

3. Since you’re a senior and student council president how do you manage your schedule?
“Laughs” It’s a lot of planning and time management. I try and stay on top of my work by not messing around when I get home. I try and do my homework straight away. Managing your time is all about knowing yourself. Personally, I know that I am the type of person who can read really quickly but who takes a long time to write things like essays. If I know that I have a lot of writing due soon, I will try and get it done as soon as I get home and then leave the reading for times like during my frees.

4. What are your top priorities and goals for this year?

It is my main goal to inspire and promote kindness and sisterhood at Hewitt. I want to make sure that our community is a space where everyone feels comfortable to expand and grow. My goal is to really be here for the students. I want to make myself as approachable and available as possible so that I can help to make everyone’s experience at Hewitt a positive one. I plan to bring my positive and motivational outlook in life to the position of president. I want to inspire people to take chances and reach outside their comfort zones by sharing the passions and talents with the community.

5. What’s something your looking forward to in the next upcoming years?

I am most looking forward to getting to pursue my greatest interests in college. I am not sure what I want to do yet in life but I am excited to continue studying and find out.

6. What message do you want to leave the school with?

I want to be remembered as someone who made everyone around them smile and feel good about themselves. If I could leave one message with the school it would be to pursue the things in life that make you happy and to be motivated to try new things and inspire change in the world.

7. Finally what advice would you like to give other students?

Don’t doubt yourself and don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t, or that you’re not good enough, to do something.
