You stole the golden idol. You have escaped the temple. Now the big black beasts are on your tail. You jump over the tree trunks and gaps, collect the coins, and slide under the fire. What are you doing? None other than playing the new and overly addictive game called Temple Run. Temple Run, a free iPhone and iPad app, currently tops the international charts. The game enables you to compete against your high score by running, jumping, and sliding. As you turn the stone corners of your escape route, you must jump onto a corroded walkway, all the while keeping your device level to prevent from falling off the edge. The game ends when you die.

I would rate this game a five out of five because of its good graphics, the fact that it’s free, and the fact that no matter how much you try to put it down, you never can. However, I do have some critiques. I wish the game was more responsive to your actions, so that when you swipe to jump, the character jumps simultaneously.  I also feel that after you have collected coins and your bonus meter is almost full, stumbling shouldn’t loose you the bonus. But overall, the popularity of this app is well-earned, and everyone should download it–if you have tons of free time to spare, that is!
