Yearbooks are here, and only The Hewitt Times has exclusive photos and interviews before you can even get your hands on one!

Here’s an interview with Argosy’s faculty advisor, Ms. Dore.

Q: What was the inspiration for the Argosy this year?

A: A lot of brainstorming was done this year to figure out the purpose of a yearbook. When we found our purpose, commemoration of the students of a year, Argosy staff wanted a conceptual theme rather than a visual theme like we’ve done in the past.

Q: What is the biggest difference between this year’s rather than last year’s yearbook?

A: Last year it was all about the visual aesthetics, but this year the yearbook is more conceptually trying to capture the essence of the Hewitt community. It wasn’t about what the pages would look like, but rather what the story of the yearbook would tell.

Q: What are some highlights of the yearbook?

A: I don’t want to give too much away, but there is a feature story based on the entire conceptual theme by Samantha Weintraub ’14 that gets to the heart of who the Hewitt students and faculty are. The senior page includes individual photos, taken by Ryan Reiss ’13 of all of the 12th graders in the meatpacking district. She did a very good job on capturing each girl’s individuality. There’s also a trending page for “what’s hot” in the lower, middle, and upper school.
