Standing in solidarity with the citizens of Turkey protesting approximately 5000 miles away in Gezi Park and beyond, Turkish New Yorkers came together in a demonstration in Zucotti Park this past Saturday. Cheering, chanting, and waving home-made signs, protesters scorned the name of Tayyip Erdogan and demanded that change be made in the Turkish government.
